Throughout written history, you may have observed several authors who were able to bring to life inanimate objects such as trees. J. R. R. Tolkien in his thrilling book, The Lord of the Rings, had that ability. When facing evil during a great battle, the forest comes to life and fights on the side of the good guys.
Obviously, Tolkien’s books are fantasy. Nature is amoral and neutral in the affairs of mankind. Nature can however, aid in the worship of God by simply presenting to us an example of His might, power, and creativity. In 1 Chronicles 16:33, nature sings out the praises of God because of His majestic presence. This is a reminder that, like trees in nature, all nations and people groups are the workmanship of God’s own hands and are to worship their creator!
“Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord. For He comes to judge the earth.” 1 Chronicles 16:33
