A construction company in Detroit has as their motto, “We do good work.” It’s a catchy phrase that grabs your attention. The company uses the slogan on the radio and with television adds which has given them great success.

That makes me wonder, do I do good work, does the church do good work, and do you do good work? You can be confident that Jesus does good work! How so you ask? Jesus has done away with sin – past, present and future for all those who have trusted Jesus as Lord! His death on the cross was a one time event that dealt with sin once and for all! C.H. Spurgeon said in a sermon, “the heart of God became like a reservoir in the midst of the mountains…every drop of the sins of His people, ran down and gathered into one vast lake, deep as hell and shoreless as eternity. All these met…in Christ’s heart, and yet He endured them all.”

I am so very thankful that Jesus completed the task of the cross and bore my sins. As a result of my Saviors effort on Calvary, I can confidently say His Work is good!!

“So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.” Hebrew 9:28
