Our world is full of artificial things. Food is enhanced by artificial flavoring and color. Flowers are often composed of artificial things mixed in with the real deal and artificial things are counterfeit. To counterfeit something means to make it “with intent to defraud by passing the false as the true.” Likewise, counterfeit Christians are people who, although they profess faith in Christ, are not real. To recognize the counterfeit, you must know what the real REALLY looks like. Thus, in reality, there is a “Dividing Line” that is the best indication of where a person stands.
