What is your favorite food? There are so many to choose from it’s hard to pick just one! I have an idea; let’s choose our favorite food from only one food group that will narrow the field. Lets see, I think chocolate is a food group! I’m kind of thinking out loud as I contemplate my favorite chocolate treat! WOW, this is difficult! I’d say I like all things chocolate! Go with me on this. If you have children, which one do you love the most? I know, your thinking, “Bro. Brad, there is no way I could tell you I love one child more than the other, I love them all unconditionally!” My response, “You got it!”

God is the same. He doesn’t have favorites. He doesn’t love you more than Joe because Joe sins less! God doesn’t love me more than you because I pastor a church and preach! God loves His children equally and passionately! God’s love is unconditional to all His children! Yet, time and again our culture believes that God chooses to love one group more than the other. It’s as though we are playing a game and God is a captain choosing only the best to be on His team! Listen to me, God chooses to love you, why, because of grace! It’s not because you deserve to be loved. God just loves you – “God is Love!” That’s the reason Jesus’ blood flowed from His veins on the Cross, it was to show His love and prove that He doesn’t have favorites. The Question for today, have you chosen to accept the love of God by confessing your sins and asking Jesus to be Lord of your life?
